Sheila Birnbach is a sought-after speaker, a seasoned professional trainer and an executive coach. Her Rockville, Maryland-based G B Associates, Inc. partners with organizations of all sizes and industries, as well as life-long individual learners, to achieve peak performance.

Before launching G B Associates, Inc., Sheila spent over a decade in the banking industry, rising from entry-level positions to become the youngest Vice President in the bank's history. In that capacity, she built a consistent track record of success in motivating and developing people and formulated her pioneering concepts of staff development and human capital management to achieve consistent performance and results.

She holds a masters degree in business administration focused on human resource management from the American University and a masters degree in social work from the University of Maryland. She is a licensed clinical social worker who spent many years as a practicing family therapist in the juvenile court system and was named one of the "Outstanding Young Women of America."

Sheila’s hands-on management experience, close to three decades as a human capital consultant to a variety of organizations as well as a practicing family therapist have enabled her to become a leading coach to executives and business owners alike; all with the shared desire to excel in competitive, challenging environments and realize their deepest potentials.

Sheila has served on the faculty of the United States Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management for over twenty years.

She has authored numerous articles and has been quoted in several professional journals and newsletters such CEO Update, Funworld, Associations Now, National Focus, The Executive Officer, and Rental Management. She has recently published her first book Focusing on the Tip of the Iceberg: Tools for Achieving Success in Your Organization.

In addition to her involvement with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Rockville, MD Chamber of Commerce, Sheila is a certified scuba diver who loves traveling, dancing and spending time with her family.
